Jeremy Milner

The emerging young American bass Jeremy Milner made his mainstage debut with Sarasota Opera performing the role of Crébillon LA RONDINE and participated in the US Premiere of Dean Burry's opera THE HOBBIT enlivening the character of Gandalf and lending his voice as Smaug the Dragon also with Sarasota Opera.  During the summer season of 2008, Mr. Milner returned to Central City Opera to perform the role of Elder Ott in Carlisle Floyd's SUSANNAH which was conducted by Hal France.  This season Mr. Milner performs in back-to-back performances of Strauss' SALOME as the Fifth Jew with San Francisco Opera and Arizona Opera.  From there he returns to the Opera Company of Philadelphia to perform the role of the Doctor LA TRAVIATA, and he sings his first Beethoven Ninth Symphony with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra.

In the 2006 - 2007 season Mr. Milner performed the role of Snug A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM with Des Moines Metro Opera.  With The Academy of Vocal Arts, he has performed the roles of Dr. Bartolo IL BARBIERE DI SIVIGLIA, Kuno DER FREISCHÜTZ, The Doctor VANESSA, and Innkeeper MANON.  Also with Center City Opera of Philadelphia Mr. Milner performed Frère Laurent ROMÉO ET JULIETTE and Mr. March and Mr. Dashwood LITTLE WOMEN.

In 2003 season Mr. Milner made his operatic debut as Il Dottore LA TRAVIATA with Tulsa Opera and since that time Mr. Milner's repertoire has grown to include the roles of Sparafucile RIGOLETTO, Loredano I DUE FOSCARI, Crespel LES CONTES D'HOFFMANN, Ben Benny PAUL BUNYAN, Antonio LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, the Registrar MADAMA BUTTERFLY, Padre Guardiano LA FORZA DEL DESTINO, Geronte MANON LESCAUT, Sam and Tom UN BALLO IN MASCHERA and Comte Des Grieux MANON.

Mr. Milner has a Bachelors of Music from The University of Tulsa and a Masters from The Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia.
